Recharging

At the river with Luna and Kelley.

I’ve packed up my favorite bag with some of the essentials and hopped in the car. My daddy raised us to always look for the function in things, but he also has an eye for fashion that I have picked up. Today I’m wearing my Bird Trouble bag as a backpack; I always feel so cool.

Alexz’s leather is infused with all the love, magic, and years of craftswomanship. Whenever I go out into nature I carry my tobacco and sage around my neck. These are my offerings to earth, the creator.

I didn’t have to pack my Luv Martha swimsuit because I already had it on of course. Whenever there’s a chance that water is near, that thang is always nearby!

There’s so much power when wearing handmade items. Even more so when they are made by badass babes! *drools*

We have to keep showing up for our people, for eachother. We’re so much more than women, we are fighters, we are survivors, we are here.

Being a female business owner is much more than just that. It’s being in control of something when people are telling us that we can’t even be in control of our own bodies. It’s owning something when years ago we wouldn’t have been able to without a man. We are about community and support. It’s about giving a safe space to those who respect your boundaries.

This is my time to recharge.

Watching the water flow, el rio. The way it transforms into a new shape, you’ll never look at the same fragment of water again, but yet it all feels so familiar. A flashback just came of me and Luna when we were young girls, almost 7 years ago. Sitting by the lake in Montana, recharging. Some things never change.

Take care of you, e <3

Check out these awesome babes!
